KHECHRI MUDRA IN NATH HATH YOGA

WE ARE PUTTING TEXT ABOUT THE MUDRA FOR THE INFORMATION ONLY PLEASE DONT TRY THIS UNLESS PROPERLY INTIATED
The Khechari Mudrâ is accomplished by thrusting the tongue into the gullet, by turning it over itself, and keeping the eyesight in the middle of the eyebrows. To accomplish this, the tongue is lengthened by cutting the frænum linguæ, moving, and pulling it. When it can touch the space between the eyebrows, then Khechari can be accomplished.Taking a sharp, smooth, and clean instrument, of the shape of a cactus leaf, the frænum of the tongue should be cut a little (as much as a hair's thickness), at a time. Then rock salt and yellow myrobalan (both powdered) should be rubbed in. On the 7th day, it should again be cut a hair's breadth. One should go on doing thus, regularly for six months. At the end of six months, the frænum of the tongue will be completely cut.Turning the tongue upwards, it is fixed on the three ways (œsophagus, windpipe and palate.) Thus it makes the Khechari Mudrâ, and is called the Vyoma Chakra. The Yogî who sits for a minute turning his tongue upwards, is saved from poisons, diseases, death, old age, etc.He who knows the Khechari Mudrâ is not afflicted with disease, death, sloth, sleep, hunger, thirst, and swooning. He who knows the Khechari Mudrâ, is not troubled by diseases, is not stained with karmas, and is not snared by time. The Siddhas have devised this Khechari Mudrâ from the fact that the mind and the tongue reach âkâśa by its practice........ADESH ADESH OM SHIV GORAKH

CONCEPT OF TRUE KNOWLEDGE (Materialistic Vs non Materialistic)

In life we always put focus upon others, how they behave, talk, react etc. and in the process of observing people around us we forget the essential part of our own lives, that is ourselves. It doesn’t mean we need to be
selfish but it certainly means we need to introspect ourselves to be a better human being, to be what we are expected of not by the dictates of the society but by the eternal time, space and universe. I am writing about two different concepts of knowledge and their comparison.
There are two schools of thought as I can visualize MATERIALISTIC AND NON MATERIALISTIC… THE academic degrees may give u good job, financial security and social respect. But if we think on the other hand, the spiritual growth and attainment provide the BLISS and the satisfaction bey7ond explanation. During my academic life (BSc, MSc, PhD… MBA etc ) I came across man learned people. Experts in their field were good human beings. But many of them were egoistic and self centred often indulged self appraisal.  But any knowledge that gives birth to self-praise and ego deteriorates the process of actual learning. If something is bringing negativity in the disposition it means that knowledge is not worth of being learnt similarly if the manner of  Bhakti is bringing in us the superiority complex that means a person has to re-look into the way he offers his prayers.
In addition what I learnt from my GURU, is somewhat I call far SUPERIOR to the knowledge gained b m academic degrees as It has greater visualization and practicability.
I recall one day when m Satguru told me to bring “Datun”(small potion of branch if a tree for teeth ) one evening. I wnt to another Sadhu and asked him to cut Datun for  me . He explained me why its not the right time to cut the Datun, (TREES SLEEPS IN THE EVENING, THE FACT THE SCIENTIST DISCOVERING THESE DAYS, OUR ANCESTORS HAS KNOWLEDGE FOR THOUSANDs OF YEARS).  IN THE THE MORNING SADHUS WORSHIPPED THE TREE AND HE CUT THE DATUN.
This incident my SATGURU MADE ME LEARN TWO THINGS: 1. Respect to nature (trees).  2. Time to do the things ,, one should respect others for suitability of the time and work accordingly.. There are many instances were the SATGURUS  knowledge surpasses the materialistic knowledge, which is more related to experiences and introspection. That’s why called AGAM –NIGAM VIDYA
Self-examination is vital on the way of spiritualism. Self-examination can be termed as checking one’s own thoughts and actions. When it happens the period of self-realization begins which leaves an ample space for the aspirant to overcome his shortcomings on his journey to God. It frees one from all the vices which resides involuntary in our soul and drives our actions.

TANTRA : ITS ORIGIN AND BASIC CONCEPT

We are putting this after deep analysis of the audiences and the present tantra practices of teachings. Here we want to put that the tantra and the real definition of the tantra be well understood. Tantra shastra is a a up veda of Atharv vaeda (one of the four Vedas i.e. Rig , Sam, Atharv and Yjur veda ). Some of the experts trace back the origin more before as OM and the origin of OMKAR. This may be attributed to the fact that the Beej swaroop of all most all mantra is OM, can be regarded as the main tatv of tantra.
In NATH samprday secret tantric practices were systamatised by the Sage Matsyendranath in his Kaulajnana Nirnaya. With the blessings of ADINATH (OMKAR SWAROOP, shiv ) Having Siva-Shakti blessings, Matsyendranath practiced ‘yogini kaula’ in the company of women. He establishes a new cult in Kamarupa where he was in the midst of shavite yoginis. Shakti is Kula. Siva is akula; their Union is Kaula giving rise to Kaula Marga path to moksha. It is to be noted that Siva in yoga is encircled by 64 yoginis. It is also to be noted that Kapilaka Saivism branched out as Kaula and Trika. Kapilaka Shaivism, in turn was a break away from Mantra Margha which also gave birth to Saiva Sidhanta, the forerunner to Tamil Shaiva Siddhanta. Mantra Margha and Atimarga, on the other hand, trace their origins in Non-Puranic Saivism which originated from Rudra worship. What ever may be the case every Vidya and marg traces origin from SHIV SHAKTI.
And we if consider Sanskrit shloka:
Sarvesrtha yen tanyante vayante trayante ch bhyyajyanan,
Iti tantrasya tantratvm tantragya parickshte II
It means that mantra and its proper usage in rituals, well explained systematic Puja and spiritual work accordingly. Its all is referred as tantra. Recently I came across many texts on TANTRA WORK and adds. I find so called yogis mix sex, passion with tantra and spiritualism very intelligently to attract people. I could visualize two possible reasons: one people understand the things in this manner mostly and second more suitable reason may that western people are very keen learner tend to know new things vey eagerly. Its not the right practice doing GREAT harm to the santan padhati and rich culture of Indian spiritualism. ITS MY HUMBLE REQUEST PLEASE DON’T MISREPRESENT YOGA, FOR YOUR OWN BENEFITS.
And its also for the audiences to see the facts and study thoroughly the concept before following anybody. The shastra also recommend 7 majore shudis (purities) in any practice are the qualities for yogis:
Anga vasan mann bhumika dravyopkaran saar,
Nyay dravya vidhi-shudhta shudhi saat prakar
while doing tantra practice body, cloths, material, soul, rightfully earned money should be used, keeping in mind these 7 things in mind the practitioner must do practice other wise proves harmful. so please do tantra practice keeping these things in MIND. ADESH ADESH …..

THE BANDHS AND THEIR USE IN YOGIC PRACTICE: (MUL BANDH PART I)

we are sharing some knowledge on bandha ( locks) in yogic and spiritual path. its well versed fact that the mudras and asanas are the base of yoga and in addition to that proper bandhs and their combination withe suitable mudra gives better results in meditation and sidhi-sashna. we have discussed the different mudrasin our artcle. There are many types of bandhas but mainly Mula Bandha,( contraction of the perineum),Uddiyana bandha, (contraction of the abdomen into the rib cage)Jalandhara Bandha, ( the chin close to the chest).combination of all three is called MAHA BANDH, these are used to give direction and right channeling of KUNDALINI , energy or shakti, thus has great contribution when one aspires for such sidhis.,
as ur spiritual text say :
Nasti
     mudrasamam kinchit
    Siddhidam kshitimandale
“There is nothing in this world like Mudras for giving success.”

WE are giving information regarding MUL BANDH .

Mūla Bandha should be attempted first in antara kumbhaka (retention after inhalation). and it related with MULA chakra,
first , Press the Yoni with the left heel. Keep the right heel pressed at the space just above the organ of generation. Contract the anus and draw the Apana Vayu upwards. This is called Mula Bandha. The Apana Vayu which does the function of ejection of excreta has natural tendency to move downwards. Through the practice of Mula Bandha, the Apana Vayu is made to move upwards by contracting the anus and by forcibly drawing it upwards. The Prana Vayu is united with the Apana and the united Prana-Apana Vayu is made to enter the Sushumna Nadi. Then the Yogi attains perfection in Yoga. Kundalini activation starts, with practise the perfection can be achived and the duration of the process gradually increased. it is highly advised to do this under experts supervision. Yogi when intintd properly also reciev the grace of GURU MANTRA ,ASANA MANTRA and certain mantras by GURU MUKH (only from the mouth of satguru) not available in text as such, these mantra are also repeated in soul. the enrgy level increases,,   When the Apana is united with Prana, Anahata sounds (mystical inner sounds) are heard very distinctly. Prana, Apana, Nada and Bindu unite and the Yogi reaches perfection in Yoga. The proces is gradual and need faith and patience

PROCEDURE OF MAKING JANEU and IN NATH YOGIS

Janeu is a holy thread worn with nadi and pavitri by the NATH yogis. There is a complex procedure of making the same. The fine thread of black sheep wool is woven to make this. The length of the thread is about 12+ 0.5 metres (YOGI say it 12.5 hands long or arm length ). The thread is further woven from 16 thin threads in definite procedure by chanting the janeu Mantra for several days or may take months for completion. The woven janeu is now tied with the holy knot to make it circular. This knot is termed as Bhrama knot (called bhrama ganth). It is a firm faith in nath yogis it has the blessings of 64 yoginis, Six Yatis apart from Bhrama, Vishnu, Mahesh and shakti. The pavitri, and total omkar (three beads and nadi) is fixed in a peculiar fashion to make NAD-JANEU. Moreover, Bhrama, Vishnu and Mahesh represent rajas, satva and tamas guna respectively. Once the nad janeu is made then SATGURU teaches the mantra to desciple GURU MANTRA and mantras for NADI ADESH, AND THE PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED WHILE BLOWING THE NADI.
NADI adesh has certain definite rules  its only done in front of SATGURU and Dhuna.  Disciple without nad janeu are only allowed to do SHAMBHU ADESH (with mantra). In this manner there are some procedures  and rules to be followed in the daily routines under the supervision of Satguru. With consistent and regular sadhna as per the directions of satguru for year the yogis increases his/her energy level in the spiritual path. As I know about my SATGRU, he has always stressed on SEWA and SIMRAN and selfless work for humanity. Prime duty of the YOGI is to do develop spiritually and to help others develop. Instead of indulging in wordly affairs Yogi must exemplifies the things his life, and practically realize the essence of doctrines, and become the living example.
Its  is to be noted I am putting this artIcle for information purpose only. Due to limitation of space and complexity I cannot go into details.  ADESH ADESH …OM SHIV GORAKH

RUDRAKSHA AND ITS IMPORTANCE IN SPIRITUAL PRACTICE of NATH YOGIS

Rudraksha, also rudraksh, Sanskrit: rudrākṣa ("Rudra's eyes"), is a seed is traditionally used for prayer beads in Hinduism . The seed is produced by several species of large evergreen broad-leaved tree in the genus Elaeocarpus  with ganitrus being the principal species used in the making of organic jewellery or mala. Rudraksha, being organic, is preferentially worn without contact with metal; thus on a cord or thong rather than a chain. The word rudraksha is derived from two words - rudra (रुद्र) and aksha (अक्ष).Rudra and aksha means the one who is capable of looking at and doing everything (for example, the third eye). Aksha also means axis. Since the eye can rotate on one axis, it too is known as aksha. Also Rudra means the one who weeps. A (अ) means to receive and ksha (क्ष) means to give. Hence, aksha (अक्ष) denotes the ability to receive or give. Rudraksha is the one that has the ability to wipe our tears and provide happiness.
The benefits have not been proven by science but rudraksha is believed to provide good support         for those who are constantly on the move and who eat and sleep in a variety of places. This is              because it is claimed to create a cocoon of the wearer's own energy. It is said that if the situation         around one is not conducive to one's kind of energy, one will experience difficulty settling                  down. This was noted as being especially difficult for sadhus and sanyasis as they were                        constantly moving, and were traditionally never supposed to rest their heads in the same places              twice. Likewise, the rudraksha may be helpful for travellers and professionals who eat and sleep        in a variety of places.
Sadhus or sanyasis of almost all panths living in the forest would have to resort to naturally available                water sources. A common belief was that, if the rudraksha is held above the water, it would go clockwise if the water was good and drinkable. If it was unfit for consumption, it would go counter-clockwise. This test was also believed to be valid for other edibles. When worn on a mālā, it was also said to ward off and act as a shield against "negative energies" for refrence i am showing picture osf my NAD-JANEU, this is age old practice to wear janeu like this amoungst The NTHA YOGIS , has a lot of deep meaning and significance in Nath yogis, it is used to do ADESH to SATGRU, and to Adesh at SAMADHI and dhuna ... more over it has been related to the KUNDALINI , the mantras are associated with the ADESH and given by the GURU during the intiation of YOGI. its important identity of Nath yogis and with constant and persistent yogic sadhna (mantra, asnas ,sidhis etc) the nath yogi achieves the goal of being called Nath. some remain grihisth (family) and some tyagi (leave home) .... the article is aimed only for information purpose and the deeper meaning of Adesh and nad janeu is complex to understand. can only be understood with penance and grace of true GURU (satguru)
