Tantra is science of doing something in a systematic manner, tantra is not philosophy. To understand philosophy is easy because only your intellect is required but to learn practically is to follow the right approach. More you do more you learn,moreover in broader perspective the term tantra must not be misunderstood.
BHAIRAV TANTRA many times referred as vigyan bhairav tantra, vigyana means vishesh gyanam or special knowlwdge, in English the synonym of VIGYAN IS SCIENCE, IN SPIRITUAL TERMS THE KNOWLEDGE OF CONSCIOUSNESS, Bhairava is a fierce deity and is the guardian of the city of Varanasi. The origin of Lord bhairava has been mentioned in SHIVA MAHAPURAN, the techniques of worshiping so the sadhka goes above the conscious state the psyche becomes limitless. Tradiationally many mantra are available but the mantra from GURU MUKH is most advisable in my personal experience.
Ashta Bhairavas are related to the ashta mothers, called Brahmani, Maheswari, Vaishnavi, Varahi, Kaumari, Indri , Narasimhi and Chamundi The fierce branch of Shaivism known as Kapaliakas considered him as their deity. It is believed that if we worship Lord Bhairava, he would protect our assets and wealth and health.
