KUSHA GRASS or Darbha grass i.e. Desmostachya bipinnata.

ADESH ADESH !!!
In Hindu, Jains, Buddhism, Kusha grass is used during religious procedures in various forms, it has immense purifying properties. It is involved in almost all rituals right from the birth till death and even after death. Even while doing meditation if it's done by sitting on it increases your focus and calms down the stress level. Vedas, and the #Bhagavad #Gita advocate it is the appropriate seat for meditation.
In the greatest epic by Maharishi Valmiki prodced a boy KUSH from kusha using his #yogicenergy.
Thanks Yuvraj Tiwana for suggesting the idea on this topic.
Historically, sacred grass is related to the KURMA AVTAR of Lord Vishnu. our #Purans and #Upnishads describes that this grass came into existence after #Samudra #Manthan or churning of cosmic ocean. During churning some of the hairs of Tortoise were broken and were washed away to shore And they became Kusha or Darbha grass. When gods and Demons got ready to churn the cosmic ocean of milk to get the Amrit (Nectar of Immortality). There was nothing so powerful to support the Devine Snake. In entire universe on which they can curl him. Then Lord #Vishnu took a form of Tortoise (Kurma Avtaar). https://chat.whatsapp.com/Fryy8zMDo5MENWuhLM5CjV
