VISHNU/ SANTOSH NATH (AMONGST 9 NATHS IN NATH SAMPRDAY)

Vishnu  the  God of Vaishnavism (one of the three principal denominations of Hinduism) and one of the three supreme deities (Trimurti) of Hinduism is regarded as SANTOSH NATH in NATH SAMPRDAY He is also known as Narayana and Hari As one of the five primary forms of God in the Smarta tradition,he is conceived as "the Preserver or the Protector"[ within the Trimurti the Hindu Trinity of the divinity.In Hindu sacred texts, Vishnu is usually described as having dark complexion of water-filled clouds and as having four arms. He is depicted as a pale blue being, as are his incarnations Rama and KrishnaHe holds a padma(lotus flower) in the lower left hand, the Kaumodai gada (mace) in the lower right hand, the Panchajanya shankha (conch) in the upper left hand and the discus weaponSudarsha Chakra in the upper right hand.
The traditional explanation of the name Vishnu involves the root viś, meaning "to settle" (cognate with Latin vicus, English -wich"village" Slavic: vas -ves), or also (in the rigveda
His vehicle is the swift-flying bird Garuda which can spread the Vedic knowledge with great courage. The dark color of the Lord represents the passive and formless ether, a great quality for a pervading god. He rests on the bed of the powerful, coiled serpent, Seshanag who represents the sleeping universe. Lord Vishnu is also known as Hari, the remover.
Lord Vishnu's consort is Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth .
